Who makes this

Built by a card seller, for his own store first.

WaxEngine is built by one person, Christopher Loubert, a hockey card seller in Ontario, Canada. He runs Loubs Cards on eBay.ca, which carries 1,500+ live hockey listings as of September 2026, and every one of them goes through WaxEngine. He started building the software in November 2025 to list his own store faster and opened it to other sellers on August 3, 2026.

The store

Loubs Cards is the proof, and you can check it.

Loubs Cards opened on eBay.ca in 2024 and sells hockey singles: rookies, parallels, inserts and vintage, from rare cards to fan favourites. Its tagline is "Collect Greatness." It is a real store with public feedback and public sold history, and it is where every WaxEngine feature gets used before anyone else sees it.

Why it exists

Listing by hand was eating the founder's nights.

A hockey card listed properly on eBay needs the season in eBay's format, the set, the parallel, the card number and the player in an 80-character title, item specifics buyers filter on, and a price researched from what comparable cards actually sold for. Done by hand that is three to five minutes a card. Across a store of 1,500 that is weeks of evenings, every time inventory turns over.

WaxEngine started in November 2025 as a private tool to make that faster for one store, a year and a half after the store itself. The identification, the pricing from real eBay sold comps and the one-click publish came first, because listing was the bottleneck. The parts that work the store after the listing is live, offers to watchers, relisting stale cards, grouping dead stock into lots, came next, because a listed card that never sells is the expensive kind. In August 2026 it opened to other sellers. The announcement post has the longer version.

What the software does, feature by feature, is on the features page. What it costs is on the pricing page. Where it honestly loses to the alternatives is on the Card Dealer Pro and CardLuma comparisons.
