Why We Built WaxEngine

WaxEngine started as a personal tool. We were managing a growing inventory of hockey cards on eBay and found ourselves spending more time on listing management than actually finding great cards to sell.

So we started automating. First the pricing, pulling sold comps from eBay and building a comp database that gets smarter over time. Then the AI identification, using AI vision to identify cards from photos instead of typing everything manually.

Then came the tier system. We realized that not all listings need the same attention. Some need to be ended and relisted. Some need price drops. Some have watchers who just need a nudge. And some are doing fine on their own.
